Realtor.com has announced that Gahanna, Ohio (43230), has been ranked No. 1 among the Hottest ZIP Codes in America for the second consecutive year.
Located just 8 miles northeast of downtown Columbus, the city of 35,000 remains a focal point for potential home buyers as central Ohio gains traction as one of the fastest growing markets in the U.S.
Realtor.com cites central Ohio’s burgeoning tech boom as one of the key factors behind its two-year reign at the top of the list. Gahanna is situated comfortably between downtown Columbus and the Intel semiconductor manufacturing site, which is currently under construction in nearby New Albany.

This is the seventh time in the last eight years that a central Ohio community has been featured in the top 10 of Realtor.com’s Hottest Zip Codes in America.
In 2023, Gahanna took the No. 1 spot and Worthington was ranked No. 3 on the annual list the year before. Before that, it was Lincoln Village (6th in 2021), Reynoldsburg (2nd in 2020), Worthington (7th in 2018), and Hilliard (10th in 2017).
According to Realtor.com, properties in the 43230 ZIP code were so sought after that they attracted more than four times as many views per listing when compared to the U.S. median. This study was conducted from January to June 2024. The list was compiled by analyzing housing market supply and demand. The economic research team assessed the number of views each listing received and the speed at which homes were sold.
