“Total sales increased 7.3 percent year over year, and the region also set a new all-time high in median sales price, as homes sold for $330,000 in May. The previous single-month high in terms of median sales price was $322,205, set in June 2023. While this is a record-high for central Ohio, it’s still well below the national median sales price of $407,600, posted in April 2024.
“There’s no question the steady rise in the price of homes is a trend we are monitoring closely in central Ohio,” said Columbus REALTORS® President Scott Hrabcak. “As REALTORS®, we have to stay on top of the trends and give the best information possible to our customers. None of the trends would tell us that housing prices will be dropping soon.””
